ABC fans felt bitterly disappointed when Golden Bachelor couple Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist split. Gerry went quiet for a while, but he resurfaced recently. Now, he’s back on social media again shouting out his latest tour. Read on to find out more.

Gerry Turner Surfaced For Events

Things slowed down on the ABC star’s social media and it’s hardly surprising as many people trolled him. However, he did post about events that he attended. One of them was the annual event known as The Big Long Lake Poker Run in Indiana.

For quite a long time after the fundraiser, not much came on social media from the ABC star. However, Gerry Turner later told his ABC fans that he had been away on vacation with a bunch of friends. They’d enjoyed two weeks of fun and games like pickleball and golf, and messing about on beaches.

Golden Bachelor Announces Tour

On the weekend, the ABC star took to Instagram to tell his Golden Bachelor fans that he was on tour. It’s not the type of media type tour that he would have made on the ABC show, but a private tour. In his caption, he explained:

Every year, I take a completely unscripted vacation. I call it the “Nomad Granddad Tour”. Today I headed west for day #1. I drove across Indiana & Illinois into Davenport, Iowa, my former hometown of 40 years. The mighty Mississippi is always beautiful and the ice cream is always perfect. Check in tomorrow to see where the road takes me..

The trip struck a chord with a few of Gerry Turner‘s followers who also have fond memories of the places that he shared. Plenty of people like Davenport. A fan wrote, “Davenport IA is a hidden gem!”

The photo of the ice cream shop taken by the Golden Bachelor seemingly didn’t do justice to the contents of the freezer. Those in the know claimed the ice cream there is the best for miles around.

One well-meaning photographer gave Gerry Turner a tip, saying, “Tip for your trip: if you’re doing a selfie you can flip it so the words are correct. Go to edit, crop, and then top left of the screen. Have a great trip”
