FOUR Love Island couples are facing the axe before Monday’s finale after a cruel twist.
The stars were forced to turn on each other in one final vote before the series comes to an end.
Sean Stone got a text that instructed them to go off in their pairs and pick the two couples they believed wouldn’t last on the outside.
Aside from Ciaran and Nicole, who are the only official boyfriend and girlfriend in the villa, each pair received at least one vote which automatically placed them at risk.
One of the remaining couples, Sean and Matilda, Mimii and Josh, Ayo and Jess S, and Joey and Jessy Potts will be going home on Sunday night.
A teaser clip at the end of Sunday’s episode revealed another incredible twist that fans can look forward to.
A slew of dumped islanders are returning to the villa “with scores to settle”.
The former villa stars waltzing back in are Uma Jammeh, Wil Anderson, Harriett Blackmore, Ronnie Vint, Patsy Field, Munveer Jabbal, Omar Nyame, Samantha Kenny, Jess White, Grace Jackson and Reuben Collins.
Hunky Sam Taylor, who was booted out first, will also return and leads the pack walking into the house.
In scenes that will play out in Sunday night’s episode, the returnees come back to grill the remaining cast on unfinished business.
It’s a twist inspired by the All Star jury, as seen on January’s legends edition.
A source told The Sun: “A number of the dumped islanders have scores to settle – when they leave they can watch footage of what really went on and they’ll relish the chance to say their piece.
Love Island twist as DUMPED islanders make shock return to the villa
“Islanders like Samantha are desperate to speak up about her treatment from Joey, for example.”
The Sun revealed Welsh duo Ciaran Davies and Nicole Samuel are the ones to beat on this year’s Love Island, with odds of them winning at 1/3.
They’ve had a strong connection since day one and are currently the only pair to have made their romance ‘official’ in the villa.
