Former Colorado Eagles goalie Ivan Prosvetov has signed a three-year deal with CSKA Moskva in the KHL, it was reported Thursday.
Prosvetov, a native of Moskva, Russia, joins a flurry of former NHL and AHL players to sign with the team over the last few days.
Drafted by the Arizona Coyotes in the fourth round of the 2018 NHL Draft, Prosvetov split this past season between the Eagles and Colorado Avalanche. In 11 appearances for the Avs, Prosvetov posted a 4-3-1 record, a 3.16 GAA and a .895 SV%. With the Eagles, he collected a 11-7-2 record to go along with a 2.33 GAA and a .921 SV% in 21 regular season appearances.
Since turning pro in 2019-20, Prosvetov played a total of 24 NHL games, collecting a 3.70 GAA and a .881 SV%.
With Prosvetov returning to Russia, he will compete with New York Islanders prospect Dmitri Gazmin for starts.
