The Philadelphia Flyers should consider taking a look at this former top prospect.
The Philadelphia Flyers have made some notable moves this offseason, like extending Travis Konecny and signing top prospect Matvei Michkov. They also extended Garnet Hathaway, re-signed Bobby Brink, and kept Erik Johnson around.
Overall, Philly’s offseason has not been the biggest, but there is still time for them to make more potential moves before the regular season begins. When looking at their current group, it would not be particularly surprising if GM Danny Briere was open to adding a player on a professional tryout (PTO) contract.
One remaining free agent who stands out and could be an interesting target for the Flyers is Filip Zadina.
Zadina is a former top prospect who was drafted sixth overall by the Detroit Red Wings in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft. The 6-foot winger was projected to develop into a top-six forward, but he never reached that initial expectation.
