Joe Burrow continues to help fight food insecurity.
The Cincinnati Bengals were fortunate to earn the No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft and get quarterback Joe Burrow. Not only because he has already shown he can be one of the best in the NFL on the field, but because he is also one of the best off the field.
The most recent example is Burrow teaming up with Kodiak Cakes to donate 30,000 meals in the Athens and Cincinnati regions of Ohio and in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
In the three major locations, Burrow has made an impact playing football.
The first major example of Burrow being a major philanthropist came when he used his speech about winning the Heisman trophy to highlight the food insecurity in Athens, which resulted in a flood of donations.
Since then, the Joe Burrow Foundation has continued to provide support for children with mental illness, food insecurity, and many other underprivileged people who are struggling.
Bengals QB Joe Burrow and Kodiak Cakes are joining forces to fight food insecurity by donating nearly 30,000 meals to three separate school programs within Athens, Baton Rouge, and Cincinnati. Burrow – No.9 – and Kodiak will donate 9,999 meals to each program.
