LOVE Island fans weren’t buying it as Joey Essex presented Mimii with flowers after days of rows.

Fans shared a wild theory that producers planted the idea in Joey’s head to apologise with a very sweet gesture.

Joey told her: “I just want you to know that I am sorry and I don’t want our friendship to ever be sour. I want to be friends.”

Watching at home, one furious fan tweeted: “Joey Essex DID NOT buy those flowers lol I know a producer prompted apology when I see one…”

“Joey apologising to Mimii with the producer’s bought flowers,” another waded in.

A third ranted: “So Joey could get Mimii flowers? I’m not falling for this.”

It comes after Joey and Sean Stone sparked a flurry of complaints to the telly watchdog Ofcom over constant digs at Mimii and Josh, and Grace Jackson.

Joey and Grace clashed a number of times in the villa after he moved on with Jessy Potts.

It has now been revealed Joey and Grace knew each other years ago and met on Celebs Go Dating.

Old video footage has revealed that Grace and Joey both appeared on the reality show at the same time.

Grace was recently dumped from the Love Island villa with Reuben Collins days before the final.

Earlier this week, the 25-year-old broke her silence following her stint on the show with ex Joey.

The pair were reunited after they split last year, with Grace entering as a bombshell.

But two weeks later Joey and Grace fell apart following the arrival of blonde bombshell Jessy Potts.

She won him over on their first date and Grace decided to put their relationship to rest.

Although Joey claimed he was happy with Jessy, he frequently made digs at Grace during their time together in the villa.

During her exit interview, she spoke out on tensions and rows with Joey – which resulted in fans accusing him of bullying.
