Blue Jackets season ticket holders will soon get a chance to secure tickets to the first outdoor game in franchise history.
Presale tickets will be available for purchase by full-season ticket holders beginning Tuesday for the Jackets’ matchup against the Detroit Red Wings on March 1 at Ohio Stadium as part of the NHL’s annual stadium series events. Fans with partial plans will get presale access beginning Aug. 6, before tickets are offered to the general public “later this year,” according to a Blue Jackets release.
The team said it has received “more than 122,000 ticket requests” since the matchup became public in February. Presale availability will end at 11:59 p.m. Aug. 11, and the only way to guarantee tickets at this point is through purchase of a full or partial ticket plan for 2024-25.

Wednesday’s announcement about presale tickets arrives amid a busy offseason for the Blue Jackets, who hired Don Waddell as president of hockey operations and general manager in late May and welcomed Dean Evason on Tuesday as the 11th head coach in franchise history.
