There are 207 players in the NFL that are earning over $10m in 2024, let us take a look at how these breakdown team by team and how many the Cleveland Browns have compared to the rest of the league.
Here is a look at the eleven Cleveland Browns earning over $10m a year to begin with:
Deshaun Watson – $46m
Myles Garrett – $20,203,875
Amari Cooper – $20m
Jerry Jeudy – $19m
Joel Bitonio – $16m
Denzel Ward – $15.924m
David Njoku – $14.5m
Jedrick Wills – $14.175m
Wyatt Teller – $14m
Jack Conklin – $13.85m
Nick Chubb – $12.2m
Za’Darius Smith – $12m
Dalvin Tomlinson – $11.585m
Although Delpit is paid $12m a year on his extension, he was given $6m of the new deal last year and then $6m this year meaning he is only counting as $6m of cash this year.

The Cleveland Browns lead the league in players earning over $10m, double the average of the league.
The Patriots on the other hand are shockingly low with only Michael Onwenu, Kyle Dugger & Hunter Henry earning over $10m this year.
The Cleveland Browns are doing this through a sustainable spending model, which I have looked at here. It will mean they restructure Watson later in the offseason, this isn’t a bad thing as some people try to make it out to be. It is a key part of building their flexibility and sustainability.
I constantly see people complain that Andrew Berry isn’t doing enough or that Deshaun Watson’s contract is limiting what they can do. Based on the facts anyone saying that is a conspiracy theorist. If you want to see the Cleveland Browns make a splash then it is going to require them getting rid of one of these big contracts, that could be Nick Chubb, Amari Cooper, Joel Bitonio or Wyatt Teller as they are the deals without guarantees.
