Carl Radke admitted he has regrets about how he treated his ex-fiancée, Lindsay Hubbard, while filming season eight of Summer House.
The day after the season finale aired, the reality TV star, 39, confessed he was ‘not proud’ of how he behaved near the end of his relationship with the former PR executive, 37.
This comes shortly after Hubbard spoke about being blindsided by Radke when he broke off their engagement on camera in an explosive scene, which aired during Thursday’s episode.
She told Glamour on the same day that she dodged a ‘massive bullet.’
‘I’m not proud of how I was handling the situation and how I was treating her,’ Radke told The New York Times in an interview published on Friday.
Addressing how their relationship played out on hit Bravo series, he added: ‘I mean, I was clearly frustrated and, you know, so I wish I had really been more direct.’

And reflecting on his behavior while filming season eight, he said that viewers ‘can clearly see [him] struggling to communicate [his] feelings.’
He said the fault falls on him even though viewers watched him point the finger at his ex-fiancée when they argued during season eight episodes.
‘That’s not on her,’ he said ahead of the reunion. ‘That’s on me.
‘I’m seeing myself blame and play victim, and I don’t want to be either,’ he continued.
During season eight episodes, viewers watched as a rift grow in their relationship before they announced they had called off their engagement in August 2023 — just two and a half months before their wedding.
After they wrapped filming last year, production picked up the cameras again to capture Radke ending things with Hubbard in their shared New York City apartment.
In the latest episode and tense scene, he blamed her for not caring about his feelings and accused her of playing the victim, everything he is faulting himself for now.
And ahead of the reunion airing, Hubbard also addressed their breakup but with more of a positive outlook as she said she is grateful she dodged a ‘massive bullet.’

‘I really truly feel thankful that the universe, or God, or whatever higher being you believe in, stepped in and saved me from a really long, hard, rough life ahead,’ Hubbard told Glamour.
‘And because of that, I learned a lot from a very traumatic experience, and I feel like I learned a lot about what I’m not going to do in my future, especially in my romantic life.’
Hubbard also opened up about her reaction to watching the tense breakup scene during the season finale less than a year after it was filmed.
She said that when she watched the episodes ahead of time, she had to space them out to avoid ‘creating consistent anxiety’ for herself.
‘I kept reminding myself when I would watch each episode that it was the past,’ she said. ‘But what I did differently this season was I stacked the episodes so I wasn’t watching every week like the viewers do.
She explained: ‘I would wait a couple of weeks, and then watch a few at a time, then take a month off, and then watch a few more. That way I wasn’t creating consistent anxiety for myself.’

On their actual breakup, she maintained that she was blindsided by Radke as she admitted she was also blind to any red flags in their relationship.
‘I was so in it, and I’m such a fighter. I will never walk away until I can look at myself in the mirror and know that I have done everything humanly possible to make something work,’ she said.
Hubbard also added that her Summer House co-star Gabby Prescod helped her see what she missed when reflecting on and analyzing her past relationship.
‘As we put everything on the table, I saw the red flags that I had been ignoring, out of love, and maybe out of the [desire for a] fairytale,’ she acknowledged.
And she also shared some of her own regrets about their relationship.
She pointed out one instance when the pair argued when Hubbard was questioning Radke’s sobriety.

Looking back, she remained steadfast in everything she said as ‘it came from the right place,’ but she admitted her ‘delivery was s***.’
‘It’s hard to understand what it’s like to be with an addict unless you experienced it for yourself,’ she noted. ‘You pay attention to certain behaviors and you worry.
‘At the end of the day, Carl was the love of my life. This was the guy I’m about to marry and spend the rest of my life with. He was my partner. He was my future husband. So when I’m questioning certain behaviors of his, it came from the right place.’
