Candiace Dillard Bassett chased down a producer after her husband Chris was accused of improper behavior on Sunday’s episode of The Real Housewives Of Potomac.
The 35-year-old reality star got fed up after Gizelle Bryant, 52, said Chris made her feel ‘completely uncomfortable’ when he asked to speak to her alone in a room at the show’s last reunion.
‘So, did he do something? Did he say something?,’ Candiace asked while talking to Gizelle after a group dance class organized by Ashley Darby, 34.
‘No. No, he didn’t,’ Gizelle admitted.
‘So, this is a thing we’re doing. Chris is being attacked,’ Candiace said.
Gizelle denied that he was being attacked as Candiace explained that Chris considers her, Robyn Dixon, 43, and Ashley as friends.
Candiace remained incredulous, but Gizelle insisted that she was just telling her how Chris made her feel.
‘Uh-huh. Um. Where is Eric?,’ Candiace said as she stood up and walked away from Gizelle.
‘I need Eric. I don’t need the camera. I need to talk to Eric,’ Candiace said referencing the show’s executive producer Eric Fuller.
‘Is Candiace okay?,’ Ashley wondered.
Candiace was then shown in the women’s bathroom addressing Eric as he stood in the doorway.
‘If it’s going to be about maligning my f***ing husband, you don’t want me here. Michael Darby is available for that, the ass-grabbing motherf***er that likes to actually make people feel uncomfortable, he’s available for that, not my husband,’ Candiace said referencing Ashley’s estranged husband Michael.
Her remarks were followed by a ‘To Be Continued’ message for viewers as the episode came to an end.
Candiace earlier was also approached by Ashley who told her about a concerning early morning message that she got from Chris.
Ashley said she was starting to consider Candiace as a friend and wanted to be transparent with her.
Candiace explained that Chris was still at work as the general manager of Vue when he sent the message and gave Ashley the benefit of the doubt about bringing it up.
‘I appreciate you coming to me. The thing is, Chris is trying to rebrand Vue, so he really wants my friends to come to the W because he wants cool people to come up there,’ Candiace told Ashley.
The episode opened with Mia Thornton defending her social media posts about her health status to Gizelle and Robyn at the Spring Fling party hosted by Karen Huger, 59.
Robyn pointed out that everyone was skeptical of her approach as Charrisse Jackson-Jordan arrived despite Karen having issues with her.
Katie also made a surprise appearance at the party and flirted with Karen’s husband Ray.
Karen during a party speech declared that the ‘Grande Dame was back’ and started dancing.
‘Grande Dame is back? Where’d she go?,’ Gizelle quipped in a confessional.
‘She’s back. Back from where? From the Himalayas?,’ Candiace said.
‘Where the hell has the Grande Dame been,’ Ashley joked.
Candiace spent time with her sister Crystal who has been living with her while her home is being built.
She revealed to Crystal that she planned on getting pregnant by the end of the year and went to see an IVF doctor about freezing her eggs.
Ashley and her one-year-old son Dylan had a play date with her friend Deborah and her infant child after meeting at a mommy play group.
Deborah asked about her status with Michael and Ashley said they sleep in different rooms.
‘So, even though we’re not together romantically, because we talk about the kids all the time, it doesn’t feel any different,’ Ashley said.
Ashley said she’s been coping by doing TikTok dances and enjoyed the feeling of accomplishment from learning a new dance and executing it.
She told Deborah about organizing a high heels dance class for her friends.
Robyn met up with Gizelle for lunch and scolded her for sharing her business about buying a house without Juan.
She also told Gizelle about Ashley getting the 2:42am message from Chris and Gizelle said she also gets messages from Chris.
Gizelle said she didn’t appreciate how Chris spoke to her in her room at the reunion after he’d been drinking.
‘I don’t wanna be in a closed room with a married man. I am a woman who had a husband cheat on her. I don’t wanna be put in the optics of cheating. I don’t wanna have anything to do with it,’ Gizelle said in a confessional.
‘Chris made me feel completely uncomfortable to the point where I told you after it happened, and you were like, ‘Oh, Gizelle, whatever”,’ Gizelle told Robyn in the restaurant.
Gizelle accused Chris of being a ‘sneaky link’.
Robyn stood up for Chris saying that he really loved his wife and wants to cultivate friendships.
Gizelle later told Candiace about Chris making her feel uncomfortable at the dance class prompting the discussion with executive producer Eric.
