The nasty divorce battle between The Bachelorette alums Rachel Lindsay and Bryan Abasolo is not easing up anytime soon.
In the latest divorce saga, Bryan, 44, is accusing Lindsay, 37, of sending a “highly offensive text” in new court documents. If you recall, Bryan asked the judge to award him $16,000 per month in spousal support after he filed for divorce. While he didn’t get the exact amount he wanted, he was awarded a $13,257 monthly payment after it was revealed Lindsay earned about $61,019 per month.
Lindsay was ordered to pay Bryan the $13K in two payments each month. Apparently, she included a nasty text message with one of the payments.
“BofA: Glender Ruth Llc sent you $6,628.50 for ‘Temp Leech Money,’” the text allegedly read according to Us Weekly who obtained the screenshot in documents Bryan gave to the court.
Not surprisingly, Bryan was highly offended by Lindsay dissing him as a “leech” in the text sent to him with the payment. The screenshot is below.
“From day one, I have been committed to working cooperatively with Rachel and her professionals to amicably resolve this case,” Bryan included in his filing. “But Rachel continues to obstruct the process while spinning false narrative about her ‘cooperation’ to the court. She continues to instigate confrontation, just as she did prior to my filing for divorce.”
Back in May, Bryan told the courts he only earned $1600 a month while his monthly expenses were about $17,000 per month. He later requested $16,275 a month in spousal support and also asked a judge to order Lindsay to pay off his $75,000 in legal fees, something Lindsay argued against in her own court filing.
“Bryan continues to reside in Rachel’s home, for which Rachel pays 90 percent of all expenses,” Lindsay told the court as she added that the “public is not aware of the private financial information” when it comes to their divorce.
Still, despite Rachel’s pleas, the judge ordered her to pay Bryan $13,257 a month in temporary spousal support until their divorce gets settled. She was also ordered to pay Bryan’s $15,000 in attorney’s fees and $5,000 for forensic expert fees.
Bryan is back asking the court for more as he wants access to $35,000 of what he calls community property which he wishes to use for his legal fees. He reveals he owes his attorney over $62,000 is his August legal filing.
“Rachel has $88,500 in our Charles Schwab accounts and Rachel had $259,207 of community property funds in her Bank of America sole proprietor account upon separation, all of which is community property,” he claimed in court docs. “This does not include the $250,000 that Rachel already paid out of our Charles Schwab accounts to pay our 2023 estimated taxes.”
Even more, Bryan wants the court to fine Rachel $5,000 as he claims she has allegedly been withholding his money for his legal expenses hostage. The judge has yet to rule on the Bachelorette alum’s latest request.
