The Real Housewives of New York City alum Bethenny Frankel recently split from her fiancé, Paul Bernon. Bethenny had been uncharacteristically quiet about their break up. That is until Paul started dating Aurora Culpo. Then she had quite a bit to say and she didn’t hold back. That is the B we all know.
After all, Bethenny had been spilling all the tea about her nightmarish split from Jason Hoppy on her divorce-themed podcast. At this point, I don’t know that the world wanted to hear all the sordid details, but no one can stop Bethenny from sharing her truth.
Bethenny Frankel didn’t approve of Paul Bernon dating again
Bethenny shared her thoughts on her Just B with Bethenny Frankel podcast. It appears that Aurora discussing her relationship with Paul on her Barely Filtered podcast set Bethenny off. “Hearing about your ex-fiancé committing to another woman shortly thereafter on their first date,” Bethenny stated, “and then being inside their relationship hearing about their sex and their gifts and meeting each other’s kids and the level of commitment.”
The former RHONY star added, “It was gutting. It was brutal.” But reliving her split with Paul a second time wasn’t easy for Bethenny. “I just [want to] say that I’m okay. I mean, it was rough because I had to experience the same breakup twice, but way worse the second time because I had to hear about all these details,” she explained.
Then Bethenny addressed the reason that she called it off with Paul. “I went through a breakup. It was something that I kept to myself. It was something that I mourned on my own, and I did therapy, and I did the work,” she stated.
“The breakup was something that I initiated,” Bethenny continued. “I wasn’t happy. Something needed to change. It was certainly mutual. The relationship had its challenges, and nobody dumped anybody.”
Still, Bethenny felt like she made the right decision. “It wasn’t a relationship I wanted to be in, and it wasn’t a person that I wanted to be with anymore, to be honest, for many reasons that I really had to come to terms with,” she said. Bethenny also gave a firm timeline of the end of their relationship, stating that the split happened after the death of her mother, Bernadette Birk, in April 2024.
Well, Bethenny no longer has to stew about Paul’s new relationship with Aurora. The duo has already called it quits. And I am sure that Bethenny takes no satisfaction in that. Wink, wink.
