Real Housewives of New York OG Bethenny Frankel has been quiet about her recent split with her ex-fiancé Paul Bernon until now.
Now that Paul Bernon has publicly started dating Aurora Culpo, the sister of Olivia Cuplo, the Skinnygirl mogul has quite a bit to say about their split and seeing Paul move on.
On Bethenny Frankel’s Just B podcast, she revealed that she doesn’t approve of Paul Bernon dating again.
The Bravo star’s podcast rant came just after Aurora opened up about her relationship with Paul on her Barely Filtered.
It seems that Aurora’s podcast set Bethenny off, and she couldn’t hold back.
“Hearing about your ex-fiancé committing to another woman shortly thereafter on their first date,” Bethenny shared, “And then being inside their relationship hearing about their sex and their gifts and meeting each other’s kids and the level of commitment.”
The former RHONY star added, “It was gutting. It was brutal.”
She then admitted that reliving her split with Paul wasn’t easy for her.
“I just [want to] say that I’m okay. I mean, it was rough because I had to experience the same breakup twice, but way worse the second time because I had to hear about all these details,” she explained.
Bethenny then addressed the reason she called off her engagement with Paul.
“I went through a breakup. It was something that I kept to myself. It was something that I mourned on my own, and I did therapy, and I did the work,” Bethenny stated.
“The breakup was something that I initiated,” she continued. “I wasn’t happy. Something needed to change. It was certainly mutual. The relationship had its challenges, and nobody dumped anybody.”
Despite being sad about the breakup and seeing Paul move on so easily, Bethenny still feels like she made the right decision.
“It wasn’t a relationship I wanted to be in, and it wasn’t a person that I wanted to be with anymore, to be honest, for many reasons that I really had to come to terms with,” she said, adding that her and Paul’s relationship ended after the death of her mother, Bernadette Birk, in April 2024.
A premiere date for season 15 of Real Housewives of New York hasn’t been confirmed to date.
