Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams had fans raving after the team shared one of the passes he made in practice over the weekend.
The Bears began their training camp at Halas Hall in Lake Forest, Illinois, on Saturday. The former USC star is getting his first taste of an NFL training camp ahead of what he hopes will be a productive rookie campaign.
The expectations are pretty high at the moment, considering Chicago made Williams the No. 1 overall pick this year. And the franchise will need him to give an excellent account of himself if they are to justify starting over with a new QB.
They are doing all they can to put him in a position to succeed, having already surrounded him with an exciting corps of receivers, including D.J. Moore, Keenan Allen, and Rome Odunze.
However, Tyler Scott was the recipient of a throw that sent the internet into a frenzy on Sunday, with the quarterback launching a deep ball with a flick of his wrist that ended up being on the money. It needed to be, as cornerback Kyler Gordon was all over the receiver.
The bears shared a video of the pass to social media. You can check it out below
Caleb Williams Got The Internet Talking
Bears fans absolutely loved what they saw from the rookie quarterback, and they can’t wait for the season to start.
“Caleb has a cannon,” one fan observed.
“Ball hung up there like a punt,” another said.
“Can the season start already please 🙏🏽,” a third begged.
“I can’t wait to inject this into my veins all season,”someone else wrote.
Caleb Williams should be in action when the Bears kick things off in their preseason Hall of Fame game against the Houston Texans on August 1 in Canton, Ohio. You can already tell that all of Chicago will be glued.
