Owens expressed immense pride for his wife’s performance at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Despite competing with a calf injury, Biles became the most decorated U.S. gymnast in Olympic history, earning four medals.

Owens praised Biles’ perseverance and warrior-like mentality by saying she’s a warrior. He explained that wife was able to push through the pain and deliver graceful performances, with the public unaware of the extent of her injury.

Biles’ Olympic head coach, Cecile Canqueteau-Landi, described the injury as a minor calf issue that occurred a few weeks before the Olympics. In an interview, Biles said the injury was just precautionary, and she was ready to push through any pain or pleasure to compete.

Owens expressed that he will continue to support Biles wholeheartedly, whether she decides to compete in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics or not. He emphasized that it is Biles’ personal decision, and he will be behind her “a thousand percent” in whatever she chooses to do.
