Austin Ott Revealed Reason For Leaving

Fans were shocked when Austin Ott decided to self-eliminate in New Zealand following a group date. During the evening portion of the date he told Bachelorette Jenn Tran that he wasn’t feeling a strong connection and he wanted to leave.

Of course, this sent Jenn into a downward spiral because she felt like she wasn’t good enough for anyone. Many of the men swooped in to make her feel better and reassure her she was worth it.

Following the episode, Austin went to Instagram to seemingly share the real reason why he left the show early. However, what he actually posted made fans angry and even questioned their feelings about him.

He said, “So I’ve been getting tons of questions this week about why I left The Bachelorette so early, and to be honest, there’s something that ABC did not show, so I’m here to clear the air and break it down for you guys.”

Then, he started dancing. He danced to Charli XCX’s ‘Apple’. The song has become a summer hit and has even broken into the top ten on the TikTok Billboard Chart.

Many fans talked about Austin’s explanation on Reddit saying they felt he could be a clout chaser. Many also joked that he left because he wanted a brat summer.
