Ashley Iaconetti can’t get enough of the love her 2-year-old son, Dawson, has for his newborn brother, Hayden Cruise.
“He’s in love with his little brother,” the “Bachelor” alum exclusively tells Page Six. “It’s very adorable to watch. [Dawson is] so affectionate with him.”
Iaconetti — who welcomed her second baby three weeks ago — gushed over her sons’ instant connection, saying, “It’s been definitely my favorite thing thus far.”
“Dawson is already saying, ‘I love you.’ He’s like, ‘Night, night, baby, I love you,’” the reality TV star says, explaining the toddler’s sweet gestures aren’t always prompted by her or husband Jared Haibon.
“The main reason why we wanted to have a second [child] was that we wanted to have a built-in best friend for Dawson, the way Jared and I had our siblings as best friends,” Iaconetti, 36, continues.
“So it’s been really awesome to see how he’s already bonded with him.”
Since welcoming their newest addition, the family of four has been staying in Virginia with Iaconetti’s parents for extra support before heading back to their Rhode Island home.
With a few extra hands, the “Almost Famous Podcast” host and Haibon, 35, have been able to take Dawson out on solo outings.
“He’s still getting a lot of attention,” she tells us.
The TV personality reveals her favorite nightly tradition is watching Haibon and Dawson rush to the fridge for their daily dose of chocolate ice cream.
The two then snuggle up with Iaconetti and Hayden on a loveseat as the toddler can’t help but smother the 3-week-old with love.
Iaconetti, who wed Haibon in 2019, is often left in awe of the loving relationship her spouse has with their two kids, gushing over him as “the best dad,” while admitting she’s “jealous” of how natural parenting is for him.
“He’s just so comfortable with them and he’s very hands-on and he’s super-duper adorable,” she shares, adding that Haibon is “warm” and “gentle.”
The mom of two continues, “He has a comfortability with newborns that I feel like I don’t. I could break the kid and he’s just cradling [him] and changing diapers.”
Iaconetti also reflects on her recent pregnancy, telling Page Six that she “wasn’t nearly as sick” with Hayden as she was with Dawson, explaining she only experienced “normal first-trimester sickness” and exhaustion.
The reality star says “every woman deserves the delivery” she had with Hayden, recalling how Haibon cheered her on while sharing a popsicle with her in between pushes.
Once their 8 lb., 7 oz. bundle of joy made his debut, Iaconetti rewarded herself with a meal from Grubhub.
The TV personality, who has partnered with the food delivery company to bring a special offer to expectant and new mothers, says she eagerly ordered sushi after not being able to eat raw fish for the past nine months.
“That was unbelievable. It was so good,” she recalls, explaining that Grubhub is offering moms a $20 credit through the end of August with a new promo code offered every Wednesday.
All new and expectant moms who claim the offer will also receive a free year trial of Grubhub+.
