Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon’s relationship went through several phases before they settled down in August 2019.
After experiencing ups and downs on seasons 2 and 3 of Bachelor in Paradise in 2015 and 2016, fans were surprised when the pair announced via a 40-minute video in 2018 titled “The Story of Us” that they had rekindled their relationship.
It wasn’t long before he put a ring on it in June 2018 — and fans watched the proposal on season 4 of BiP.
“He did the best job. He sounded wonderful. Every girl is going to be like, ‘Wow, I want Jared even more,’” she gushed to Us Weekly about the special moment. “We don’t even notice when cameras are there. The cameras are so far away. It did not feel like they were part of our engagement.”
They exchanged vows in Rhode Island in August 2019. Two and a half years later, in January 2022, the couple welcomed son Dawson, followed by son Hayden in July 2024.

Summer 2015
Iaconetti and Haibon met while filming season 2 of Bachelor in Paradise during the summer of 2015.
“I remember walking down the steps in Paradise and seeing him at the bar and it was the weirdest feeling. I was just so gravitated and drawn to him. It was truly love at first sight,” she recalled in 2018.

October 2015
While the twosome didn’t leave Mexico as a couple after an uneventful trip to the fantasy suites, they stayed close during the fall months of 2015.
During their “Story of Us” video, Haibon admitted he “wanted” Iaconetti during a charity event in October 2015.
“That was such a different experience being with someone in the show and in real life. You were just so down to earth and easy-going, ambitious … sexy,” he said.

Summer 2016
While the pair went on some dates in early 2016, things got even more complicated when they both returned for Bachelor in Paradise season 3 that the summer as Haibon pursued Caila Quinn.
“I didn’t think Caila was going to hurt me like this. She told me she would never, ever go out with you,” Iaconetti said through sobs on an August 2016 episode. “Caila ruined everything and she’s a backstabbing whore of a friend!”

2017
While season 3 of BiP was certainly tumultuous, the twosome managed to stay friendly, often documenting their hangouts via Instagram.

January 2018
When Iaconetti filmed Bachelor Winter Games in early 2018, she met and started seeing Kevin Wendt. Haibon, meanwhile, was filming Bachelor in Paradise: Australia.
Not long after they both wrapped the spinoffs, Iaconetti and Haibon traveled to St. Lucia with friends Jade Roper and Tanner Tolbert. During the trip, Haibon realized he still had feelings for Iaconetti and kissed her in the airport.
“I admitted before I was dating Kevin when Jared kissed me,” she recalled on her podcast in 2018. “Whether you call that cheating that is up to you, by most definitions that is true. But, it was one of the moments of passion, one of those actions — he pulled me in, I kissed him back.”

May 2018
The twosome nearly broke the internet when they released their “Story of Us” video in May 2018.
“I never felt like it was over between us after Paradise,” Haibon admitted at the time. “I’m not gonna lie and say that I was in love with Ashley during BiP. It was a slow build for me.”
When he was ready, he gave Iaconetti a love letter.
“I was scream-crying basically alone in my apartment reading that just sobbing and sobbing,” she recalled in the video. “He’s written me other letters and filled my apartment with flowers. He tells me every day that he’s the luckiest man alive.”
Haibon added, “I’m living proof that you should listen to your gut, and that it’s not too late. The person I wanted to be with most was right in front of my eyes.”

June 2018
When the duo returned to Mexico in June 2018, Haibon popped the question.

November 2018
The pair became dog parents in November 2018.
“Say hello to Lois Lane … the newest addition to the Iaconetti/Haibon little fluffy dog clan,” she wrote at time via Instagram. “We don’t know what breed she is, but her face has similarities to our precious Coton de Tulears in heaven. Maybe she’s a mix. #adoptdontshop.”
