Vanderpump Rules BFFs Ariana Madix and Katie Maloney have been very busy with their careers lately, between Ariana’s Love Island USA hosting gig and Katie holding down the fort at their sandwich shop, Something About Her.
But, Katie was able to get a break from the business and make the trip over to Fiji, where Ariana is currently hosting the show, to get in a little BFF time. Both women appeared on Love Island USA Season 6, Episode 29: Aftersun after show, where they reunited since Something About Her’s grand opening in late May, and talked about all of the drama in the Love Island USA villa and, yes, sandwiches.

During Aftersun, both Ariana and Katie joked that maybe they should have a Love Island USA inspired sandwich on the menu, dedicated to the islanders. “Maybe a fire-pit toastie,” Katie suggested. Talk about a crossover of the century.
This all started when, during the episode, Love Island USA Aftersun host, Maura Higgins, stated that she was excited to try Katie and Ariana’s sandwiches. “By the way, I’m coming to the sandwich shop,” Maura said. “Right after Fiji.”
“We’ll have one ready for you,” Ariana replied. But, she noted that she would not be serving Maura a toastie — which is a grilled sandwich stuffed with cheese and toppings — since they don’t have those on the menu just yet.

However, a new toastie could be in the realm of possibility, especially since Katie has been so supportive of Ariana’s new role as Love Island USA Season 6 host. “It feels and seems very natural,” Katie told Maura of Ariana’s hosting job.
“Every time she comes out, I’m just like, ‘Oh my god, she looks so good.’ When you stop and think about it, it’s so crazy because we both love this show so much. She’s the one that introduced me.”
How is Katie Maloney’s business relationship with Ariana Madix?
During a recent appearance on the Not Skinny but Not Fat podcast, Katie revealed that her business relationship with Ariana is going quite well in spite of Ariana hosting Love Island USA in Fiji, which is about a 19-hour time difference from Los Angeles.
Although communicating is just a little difficult, Katie does try to keep her updated on everything that is going on in the restaurant while she has been gone.
“I try to keep her in the loop of everything that’s going on,” Katie explained during the podcast. “But, it’s hard sometimes because I want her to be around and experiencing everything, and the fun little things that I might forget to mention in our conversations. We both missed Diane Keaton, which sucked.”
