The Real Housewives of New Jersey fans were shocked when the Season 14 reunion was canceled. In Bravo’s world, that is never a good sign. Remember how the Real Housewives of New York City Season 13 reunion was canceled? Presto! The show was rebooted with a new cast. It’s no secret that the ratings for RHONJ have slumped since the cast split into Team Teresa Giudice and Team Melissa Gorga. And some of the ladies have refused to film with each other. Now Andy Cohen gives us his take on the Garden State situation. So, what fate awaits this former must-see franchise?
Andy Cohen shares the options for RHONJ Season 15
Andy was a guest on Jeff Lewis’ podcast, Jeff Lewis Has Issues. So, what is going to happen to RHONJ? “When the stars don’t want to be in the same galaxy, that’s not sustainable,” Andy stated. Jeff asked if “a complete reboot” was on the table. “I think anything is an option,” Andy responded.
“I think there are four different ways that we could go with that show. And I think you could probably figure out what they are,” Andy stated. “We are going to let this season play out. We will all talk.”
He continued, “We’ll do the focus group stuff. We’ll do all the stuff we do. And we’ll probably do a bunch of casting. And we’ll take our time.”
As for the reunion, Andy previously explained that it wasn’t necessary, or productive. “The finale is kind of the finale and the reunion all in one,” he stated. Just add in some broken glass from Rails restaurant and a heaping of second-hand embarrassment.
Reportedly, the RHONJ cast is nervous about the future. I don’t blame them, but here we are. Refusing to film with other cast members doesn’t fly. I guess we will wait to find out if any of the current cast will appear next season.
