Andy Cohen is tearing into Savannah Chrisley for her speech at the 2024 Republican National Convention.
Savannah — whose parents Todd Chrisley and Julie Chrisley were sentenced to a combined 19 years in prison for bank and tax fraud — blamed their conviction on “rogue prosecutors” and her family’s “public profile and conservative beliefs” at the convention last night (July 16).
The Chrisley Knows Best star told an audience of Republicans that the prosecutor assigned to their case called them “the Trumps of the South,” which she now wears as a “badge of honor.” She also called out the “two-faced” justice system for coming down harder on Donald Trump than Hunter Biden, both of whom have been convicted of felonies in recent months, and demanded that Americans “expose the Democrats’ corruption.”
But on this morning’s episode of the Sirius XM radio show Andy Cohen Live, Cohen couldn’t quite understand why the party of “law and order” was riding so hard for people who committed crimes.
“They’re also talking about ‘we’re the law and order.’ This man [Trump] is a convicted felon,” Cohen said, referring to Trump being found guilty on 34 counts for falsifying business records related to a hush money payment to Stormy Daniels. “And Savannah Chrisley’s parents are both in jail. But she’s talking about the law and order.”
Cohen’s trusty co-host John Hill, however, was a bit more blunt as he labeled Savannah a “dumbass” for her speech.
“[Todd and Julie] did a crime! You go to jail if you do a crime,” he fumed. “It’s not like, ‘Oh my gosh, can you believe my sweet white parents are in jail?’ Yeah! Because they fucked up.”
Cohen echoed the fact that “they did a crime,” prompting Hill to declare that he doesn’t “feel bad” for the Chrisley family.
“Your parents are in jail, they’re gonna get out. Get over it,” Hill said. “Go back to your podcast and get more gender-affirming lip injections.”
