The Real Housewives of Orange County premiere delivered on the drama. Alexis Bellino made her triumphant return to the series and came in hard defending John Janssen and their relationship.
Meanwhile, John’s ex-girlfriend, Shannon Beador was more interested in discussing the lawsuit that Alexis’ former husband filed against her. The returning RHOC star came in rather aggressively. And defended her relationship to anyone who would listen, including Heather Dubrow and Emily Simpson.
There was fan backlash against Alexis for her behavior on the July 11 premiere. But the Friend of the cast is happy to “take the public beating.”
Alexis intended to “calm the Storms”

Alexis took to social media on July 13 to correct claims made by Shannon to People. In a recent interview, the Real For Real founder said that she and John had rekindled their romance after they had officially broken up. She said they were dating again earlier in 2023, before her hit-and-run DUI in September of that year.
Alexis shared a screenshot of the headline, with her own musings captioned above it. To add insult to injury, she set the reel to Patsy Cline’s song “Crazy.”
“I know whatever I’ll write, I’ll be painted as the mean girl, but I’ll gladly take the public beating if it will calm the Storms,” Alexis posted to Instagram. “Shannon, your obsession with John needs to end. I know my relationship with John has been a saving grace for you, as you have been eagerly mentioning our names in every interview in an effort to bypass all accountability for your arrest. I ask you with all sincerity to please stop exploiting us in your manipulative sympathy tour. John and I just want to live happily in peace, and we wish you the same.”
It’s certainly an interesting take on the situation. Shannon’s DUI, and her actions and accountability since that fateful day are already a topic of discussion on RHOC Season 18.
