The 16th season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta will be hosted by Phaedra Parks, as confirmed by her announcement.

Parks, who was once married to Apollo Nida, spent the third and fourth seasons of the Bravo show as a stand-in and quickly rose to fame. He left the show after allegedly sparking a controversy over a male exotic dancer named Bolo The Entertainer that was rumored to be on the show with Kandi Burruss and Porsha Williams.

A 50-year-old person on Instagram made a comeback, saying, “You called. I answered. You called. I responded.” She also posted a photo of herself holding a Georgia fruit on the steps of a private jet, along with a peach emoji.

Parks has been a part of the TV show Married to Medicine for two seasons after departing from RHOA.

Parks faced criticism when she entered the reality show highlighting women who marry doctors, as she had no prior romantic involvement. She explained that her previous relationships with a cardiologist were not successful, and she also felt she had a legitimate job as a “Reiki healer” and “mortician,” which she felt was a valuable asset to the role.

In March, she told US Weekly that her profession of Reiki healing and metaphysical knowledge, as a mortician, makes her the embodiment of healing.
