Recently Davante Adams said that his old quarterback Aaron Rodgers has been in his ear about joining him in New York with the Jets. Then Thursday at a golf event in Vegas, Rodgers flat out said it as if it’s going to happen at some point in the near future.
Now, Rodgers is known for toying with the media like this, so take that for what it’s worth.
That being said, Adams earlier this week already shot down the idea in an appearance on Up and Adams with Kay Adams (no relation).
“Obviously we can get together and talk about the old times and potential of doing this and that, but like I said I’m a Raider, and he knows that,” Adams said. “Maybe in the next lifetime.”
Adams was sure to preface any talk of spending the rest of his career in Las Vegas with “Never know what’s gonna happen,” but while adding that any such move would be the team’s doing “If they ship me off, there’s not much I can do about it, but I’m a Raider. So nobody got to worry about that.”
