Love Island USA found itself in need of a new host this week and now a very popular Vanderpump Rules star got the text. Ariana Madix will officially be the host of Love Island USA Season 6 when it makes its way to Peacock this summer.
The news comes just a day after previous host, Sarah Hyland, revealed on social media that she will not be back in the host position after presiding over Seasons 4 and 5 and all the drama, recouplings and Casa Amors that came with. Sadly, she explained she’s taken on a mysterious new project that will prevent her from hitting the villa this time around. Luckily, that means Madix, who previously appeared as guest on Season 5 and is a superfan of the franchise, gets to make the big upgrade to regular host.
Who is Love Island USA’s New Host?
Peacock officially announced the news on March 29 that the Vanderpump Rules star will be taking over all hosting duties. For those unfamiliar, Love Island USA is a lot like the other international versions of the series, which takes sexy singles and puts them together in a villa for several weeks on a journey to find love. Throughout the process, the host presides over games the Islanders will play to determine compatibility as well as recouplings and eliminations designed to whittle the group down to just a few finalists with a real shot at having a long-term relationship with one another. Like Hyland, Madix likely won’t be in every episode of Season 6, but she’ll certainly be there for all of its most dramatic and game-changing moments.
Who is Ariana Madix?
As mentioned, Madix, a self-professed Love Island superfan, is best known for her part on Bravo’s Emmy-nominated series Vanderpump Rules. However, there is much more to her resume than that. She was previously named one of Variety’s most powerful women in Reality TV and can boast being a New York Times Best-Selling author thanks to her cocktail recipe book, Single AF: Drinks for Bad B*tches. The Melbourn Florida native is also an experienced actress, having appeared in a handful of movies and TV shows. Most recently, she took to the live stage on Broadway as Roxie Hart in Chicago, the longest-running Broadway show of all time. In 2023 she was named “Reality TV Star of the Year” by US Weekly. In early 2024, she received two People’s Choice Award nominations, “Reality TV Star” and “Reality Competition Contestant.”
When Does Love Island USA Season 6 Premiere?
