‘I saved her.’
Alongside the Season 2 finale for House of the Dragon, Max has given us our first look at the much-anticipated second season of The Last of Us.
While there isn’t much footage, the scenes packed in those few seconds pack quite a punch. Not only do we get to see Kaitlyn Dever’s Abby, Catherine O’Hara’s currently unknown character, Jeffrey Wright reprising his role as Isaac, and Isabela Merced as Dina, but we also get to see Joel reckoning with his big decision from Season 1.

Also in the trailer was a glimpse at the flashback from The Last of Us Part 2 that takes place at a party in a barn in Jackson. Even from the few seconds of footage, it’s exciting to see both familiar and new moments.
We don’t have an exact date for The Last of Us Season 2, but we do know it will be headed our way in 2025.
In our review of The Last of Us Season 1, we said it is “a breathtaking adaptation of one of the most impactful stories told in video games and brilliantly brings Joel and Ellie’s journey to a whole new audience. Taking the essence of what made the original tale so enduring, it builds out the world of the game while also switching up some aspects to almost entirely stunning effect.”
