Each year, the Indianapolis Colts send a gift to season ticket members to thank them for their support of the team.
And Jim Irsay decided to give something extra special to two members of Barstool Sports that pay for Colts season tickets.
Most fans will recognize this banner for being one of the most embarrassing decisions the Colts have ever made. Which is hanging their “2014 AFC Finalist” banner for playing but not winning the 2014 AFC Championship game against the New England Patriots. Well, it seems the Colts have taken down the original banner, and owner Jim Irsay sent it directly to Barstool personalities “PFT Commenter” and “Big Cat.”
Big Cat even went on to share the letter the two received with their new banner from Mr. Irsay himself on his personal X account. Which included the phrase “Hang the banner.”
We will have to wait and see if the Colts plan on replacing this specific banner inside of Lucas Oil Stadium for the 2024 season. But I think I speak for most members of Colts Nation when I say I absolutely hope they don’t.
