Remember when Real Housewives of Atlanta star NeNe Leakes‘ son, Bryson Bryant, got arrested? It happened back in 2023 and at the time, told you how he lied to the cops and claimed to be his brother, Brentt Leakes. It was a messy move, and now we have the body camera footage to prove it.

In Touch was the first outlet to get their hands on the body cam footage from Bryson’s arrest. It looks like it’s straight out of an episode of Cops, and the drama all started because a neighbor said Bryson was lurking around someone’s house.
When the cops showed up, they started asking Bryson a million and one questions about why he was in the neighborhood. When they asked for his name, he straight up lied and told them “Brentt Leakes.”
That wasn’t the only fib he told that night. He also told the cops that he knew the people who lived in the apartment he was at. That wasn’t true either.
Bryson got caught up in his life when the cops asked him to repeat his name and date of birth. Bryson told them again that his name was Brentt, but then he said his birthday was February 20, 1999. Brentt’s actual birthday is February 22, 1999. Whoops!
Let’s set aside the fact that he didn’t know his brother’s birthday after trying to assume his identity. The cops also allegedly saw fentanyl right in plain sight inside Bryson’s car, plus he had an outstanding warrant. Literally, there was no way he was going to walk away from this not in handcuffs.
The cops took him to jail that night, and Bryson stayed behind bars for months. He eventually got out on bail and entered a non-guilty plea. After striking a plea deal, he walked away from this situation with just a year of probation, 40 hours of community service, and a $500 fine.
