We’re quickly approaching the premiere of Real Housewives of Orange County Season 18, and it’s shaping up to be quite a dramatic season. Alexis Bellino is making her long-awaited return. Plus, Shannon Beador will be dealing with the aftermath of her infamous DUI/car accident. We can’t forget the fact that Alexis is dating John Janssen, Shannon’s very recent ex-boyfriend, during her reality TV comeback. Did we mention that RHOC is going to be a mess this year?

Shannon has a lot of explaining to do in the next iteration of RHOC. Her DUI in September 2023 shocked the Bravo fandom. Thankfully, no one was hurt, but it was hard to watch footage of Shannon driving her car into the side of a house. In a recent teaser for RHOC Season 18, fans get a gruesome glimpse at what Shannon’s life was like right after the wreck.

Shannon’s brutal reality

Bravo tweeted a teaser clip for RHOC Season 18 that focused a lot on Shannon’s DUI. In one moment, Shannon is seen explaining the details of her car accident to Heather Dubrow. Shannon said that right before she got in the car to drive, John called her a “drunken idiot,” which set her off.

“I got in the car, lost control,” Shannon said before showing Heather a photo of her bloody face after the accident. Then, in response, Heather’s jaw dropped in disbelief. It was a similar reaction that most viewers will likely have to the picture. “Oh, Shannon! Oh my god,” she gasped. Truly, it’s going to be hard to watch Shannon pick up the pieces after such a major rock-bottom moment.
