Carolina Hurricanes Reveal 2024-25 Promo Schedule

The Carolina Hurricanes have announced their theme night and promo schedule for the 2024-25 season.

The schedule includes the dates for opening night, Eric Staal’s jersey retirement and 16 other themed days/nights.

Here’s the full list of promos:

Promotional Schedule

Oct. 11, 2024 – Opening Night

The Carolina Hurricanes will begin their season at home at PNC Arena on Friday, Oct. 11 starting at 7 p.m. against Jake Guentzel and the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Oct. 15, 2024 – First Responders Night

The Canes will celebrate local first responders on Tuesday, Oct. 15 at 7 pm. and will be facing the New Jersey Devils.

Oct. 31, 2024 – Halloween Night

The Canes will host a Halloween themed night with costumes and candy on Thursday, Oct. 31 when they take on the Boston Bruins.

Nov. 7, 2024 – Veterans Day Celebration

Carolina will celebrate local veterans on Thursday, Nov. 7 (a few days before official Veterans’ Day [Nov. 11]) when they take on the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Nov. 17, 2024 – Hockey Fights Cancer Night

The Hurricanes join the rest of the hockey world in the fight against cancer, hosting their Hockey Fights Cancer Night on Sunday, Nov. 17 against the St. Louis Blues.

Nov. 25, 2024 – Mental Health Awareness Night

The Canes will work to help bring awareness to mental health along with other community outreaches and programs on Monday, Nov. 25 against the Dallas Stars.

Dec. 10, 2024 – North Carolina Night

Celebrate all things North Carolina such as food, art, music and more on Tuesday, Dec. 10 against the San Jose Sharks.

Dec. 13, 2024 – Pride Night

The Canes will continue to promote that hockey is for everyone as they host Pride Night on Friday, Dec. 13 against the Ottawa Senators.

Jan. 12, 2025 – Eric Staal Jersey Retirement

Former Hurricanes captain Eric Staal’s career will be celebrated and his number retired on Sunday, Jan. 12 against the Anaheim Ducks.

Jan. 23, 2025 – Star Wars Night

A galaxy far, far away will apparently be right in PNC Arena on Thursday, Jan. 23 when the Canes take on the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Feb. 1, 2025 – Black History Month Celebration

The Hurricanes will celebrate Black History Month on Saturday, Feb. 1 when the team takes on the LA Kings.

Feb. 27, 2025 – Whalers Night

The annual donning of the Whalers gear and blasting of Brass Bonanza will take place on Thursday, Feb. 27 when the Canes face the Buffalo Sabres.

March 1, 2025 – Women in Sports Celebration

The Canes will celebrate the many women both playing and working in sports on Saturday, March 1 when they face the Edmonton Oilers.

March 9, 2025 – Kids Day

This game will be a kid-centric celebration when the Canes take on the Winnipeg Jets on Sunday, March 9.

March 11, 2025 – Special Needs Night

The Hurricanes will put the spotlight on those with disabilities and special needs on Tuesday, March 11 against the Lightning.

March 25, 2025 – Grateful Dead Night

The Canes will be getting into the classic rock spirit on Tuesday, March 25 when they host the Nashville Predators.

March 30, 2025 – Military Appreciation Day

It will be a day of celebrating the many men and women who have served their country proudly on Sunday, March 30 when the team faces the New York Islanders.

April 13, 2025 – Fan Appreciation Night

The final home game of the regular season will be a day to give back to the fans when the team faces the Toronto Maple Leafs.
