Blackhawks GM Kyle Davidson certainly has a type.
And that type is exactly what Davidson was looking for when he traded back into the third round of the 2024 NHL Draft and selected speedy winger Jack Pridham from the West Kelowna Warriors of the BCHL.
The BCHL is an independent league that was classified as one of the second-tier Junior “A” leagues prior to it striking out on its own in 2023, so the 6-foot-1, 176-pound Pridham wasn’t facing the best junior teams in Canada but still flourished against that competition, racking up 49 points (23 G, 26 A) in 54 regular-season games. He also added 11 points (8 G, 3 A) in 10 postseason games, a performance that helped him move up draft boards as the summer approached.
