What makes the majority of a reality television show so great is its casting. Because of this, several reality TV stars have become famous in their own right, including stars like Kim Kardashian, NeNe Leaks, Simon Cowell, and Bethenny Frankel.
However, not every reality show star can bring drama and high ratings, like the aforementioned celebrities. That said, it’s not surprising when TV shows have explosive cast shake-ups or decide to fire cast members because they aren’t bringing much to the show.
Unfortunately, Southern Charm’s Olivia Flowers was one reality TV star who was shockingly fired. Fans were totally blindsided by her firing, especially after the drama that played out between herself, Taylor Ann Green, and Austen Kroll for most of Season 9. With the news that Olivia got the boot, fans have expressed that they want Leva Bonaparte gone, too.
Southern Charm Fans Want Leva Bonaparte Gone
Southern Charm has seen numerous new cast members join the exclusive group of Charleston friends ever since it began airing in 2014. Some of the newbies in later seasons of the show consisted of Venita Aspen, Madison LeCroy, John Pringle, Taylor Ann Green, and Olivia Flowers. With Olivia announcing that she will not be in Season 10, fans have expressed that they’d like to see other castmates gone as well. More specifically, viewers want Leva Bonaparte gone or downgraded as a friend.
In a Reddit thread titled, “can anyone else not stand leva?” Users expressed that they felt Leva was downright rude, judgmental, and did not match the rest of the cast. Others complained that Leva was not as fun as the other cast mates as she rarely went on cast trips, didn’t discuss much of her personal life, and didn’t bring much to the show.
“I think this is one of the most popular opinions. She is so inauthentic, tries to produce “moments” but sucks at it, and is so so so boring. I remember being intrigued about her when she first appeared, and I was so happy to see her call out KD [Kathryn Dennis] out on her racist behavoir, but then she’s just kind of like, there.”
Another Reddit user on the same thread compared Leva to former cast member Cameran Eubanks. Cameran made it adamant that she would not allow cameras inside her marriage. In addition, Cameran stayed out of most of the drama. However, she would openly judge others.
“I also don’t like her, especially as a fit for the show. However, she is a lot like Cameran: judgmental, limited in what aspects of her personal life she shows, very focused on other people’s flaws and dissecting their lives to deflect from her own … Leva is sort of allergic to fun and is almost always straight faced.”

Despite all the backlash over Leva’s appearance on Southern Charm, other Reddit users agreed that she was a much better fit on her Bravo show, Southern Hospitality. The reason for that is that Leva showcases her life as a business owner and has even gotten into a few heated feuds with her co-stars/employees.
“I always thought she was annoying and second rate on southern charm but I like her on southern hospitality because she’s problematic and she has amazing outfits.”
Another Reddit user agreed, stating, “I LOVE southern hospitality! grace lily till I die! Leva seems fine on it and I defs think that’s where she belongs – southern charm is just a terrible fit.”
Olivia Flowers Was Fired Because She Was Rarely In Charleston
In July, Olivia Flowers dropped a major bomb when she shared on the Scheananigans With Scheana Shay podcast that she was fired from Southern Charm. It was a total shock for the reality star after telling Scheana that it wasn’t her choice to leave. She added that people assumed she left the show because she had a new boyfriend in Texas, which is also the state her parents moved to after leaving South Carolina.
According to Olivia, she received a phone call from producers who believed she was no longer spending much time in Charleston.
“I got the call. The production company was just like, ‘You don’t really seem to be in Charleston that much. We’re noticing on your Instagram you’re in Texas, you’ve got this new boyfriend, and it just seems like you’re choosing a different path.'”
Olivia was blindsided by her firing. She told Scheana that she would have loved being a part of Season 10, as fans did not get to see her personality to its fullest.
Rod Razavi Will Not Be Appearing In Season 10
Southern Charm viewers will remember the very likable Rod Razavi appearing on Season 9 for the first time. Rod expressed interest in Austen Kroll’s ex, Olivia, and pursued a relationship with her. However, now that Olivia is no longer a part of the show, Reality Tea reported that Rod also got the boot.
According to his Instagram profile, Rod’s bio reads “Former Reality TV guy,” which might mean he will no longer be on Southern Charm. However, it would be a strange cast shake up to remove Rod as he was just introduced. Even with Olivia gone, Rod certainly brought an element of calmness to this group.
With Olivia and Rod getting the axe, this might mean Southern Charm will bring fresh new faces that are ready to unleash new drama to Charleston.
