Kevin Garnett Makes Major Milwaukee Bucks Announcement

Milwaukee Bucks news: Unfortunately, Kevin Garnett never got the chance to suit up for the Bucks throughout what was an illustrious Hall of Fame NBA career. This fact, however, has not prevented the 15-time All-Star from teaming up with the Bucks to bring his own brand of basketball to Milwaukee.

No, Garnett is not making an NBA comeback. What the 48-year-old is doing is bringing his 3×3 league to the city.

Garnett recently made an announcement via the Bucks’ official Twitter account about his intention to have Milwaukee as the next stop of his 3×3 tour.

“August 16th through the 18th, I’m coming to the Deer District,” he said. “… We’re bringing Hoop It Up to Milwaukee. I’m teaming up with the Bucks to bring some 3-on-3 action. We got a whole tour going on. It’s gonna be cracking.”

According to its website, Hoop It Up is “recognized as the most prolific grassroots basketball tour in the world with millions of participants having played in one of its city-based events.” The league was founded in 1989 and is now owned and operated by Garnett’s Big Ticket Sports.

The league features multiple brackets for men, women, and kids. Hoop It Up also claims that the program is “for all ages and abilities.”

Garnett, a former NBA champion with the Boston Celtics, is a 15-time All-Star and a nine-time All-NBA big man. He won the MVP title in 2004 and the Defensive Player of the Year in 2008. Garnett was also named as part of the NBA 75th Anniversary team.

As he said, interested parties may register via the Hoop It Up website.
