Margaret Josephs teased the reveal of “bombs” in a sneak peek at the upcoming The Real Housewives of New Jersey finale. And a new report is now revealing what that bomb was with a source adding that it may not have been as impactful as she’d hoped.
Following the release of a sneak peek at this Sunday’s episode, in which Margaret, 57, told Jennifer Fessler, 54, that Jackie Goldschneider, 47, was “dead to [her]” and announced that she would be “dropping some bombs” at their upcoming cast dinner, a source revealed what that ‘bomb’ was.
“Marge’s ‘big bomb’ that she’s purporting is that Jackie had spoken to [Luis Ruelas]’ ex,” a source revealed to OK! Magazine on July 30. “Marge was convinced that this would create a wedge between [Teresa Giudice] and Jackie and cause their newfound friendship to fall apart.”
“Sadly for Marge, it did just the opposite. Teresa knew she had done something bad to Jackie years ago with the [Evan Goldschneider] affair rumors and completely understood why Jackie would’ve reacted that way at the time,” the insider continued.
According to the insider, while Teresa, 52, didn’t get upset with Jackie, 47, she did “turn on” Margaret.
“She had presented evidence she was speaking to Luis’ ex and she was NOT HAPPY with this AT ALL and unleashed on Margaret. Margaret may have thought she was dropping some bombs, Teresa definitely finished the war.”
As for what Margaret’s alleged bombs entailed, she said in a cast confessional in the sneak peek, “If Jackie thought the texts were bad that I revealed to Dolores, just you wait.”
As RHONJ fans may have heard, the cast assembled for a watch party of the finale in place of the reunion, which will air as a special in August. However, after the taping of the special, the cast was said to have been left “dumbfounded” after noticing that a key detail of the finale was “cut out” of the episode.
While it was alleged that Danielle Cabral, 38, threw a glass pitcher at Jennifer Aydin, 47, who had gotten physical with her earlier this season, during the cast dinner, the incident, and what caused it, were reportedly not included.
As for what’s next for the divided cast, which was separated into two groups at the watch party, Andy Cohen, 56, said the show would be rebooted, potentially with “all fresh faces,” on an episode of his SiriusXM radio show earlier this week.
“Have you heard that we’re gonna do big changes to the show? We are rebooting the show. We’re gonna do something different,” he teased.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey season 14 concludes Sunday, August 4, with the finale episode at 8/7c on Bravo.
