Premiering during the show’s panel at the 2024 San Diego Comic-Con, the trailer is punctuated by narration from various characters, including Maggie, who is intent on rescuing Negan. As for Negan, he is reunited with his infamous weapon, Lucille, and seems to be back to his old evil ways. In short clips, the teaser shows off returning characters like The Croat, and newcomers like Kim Coates’ Bruegel.

Just as The Walking Dead: Dead City season 1’s ending suggested, Maggie and Negan will get at least one more season to resolve their conflict.
