Real Housewives of New Jersey star Melissa Gorga clapped back after Ramona Singer seemingly shaded her home state. Fans then reacted to Ramona’s “offensive” post, calling the Real Housewives of New York star “out of touch.”
During Ramona’s stint on RHONY, fans accused her of making elitist comments about other castmates and others. At one point, she seemed appalled to have to travel across a bridge to meet a co-star in Brooklyn.
Last fall, the star was seemingly booted from BravoCon after allegedly using part of a racial slur. Other castmates have accused her of making other offensive statements, and there was even an investigation into her actions, though she was allegedly cleared of wrongdoing.
“Who could believe in a million years – it’s 11 o’clock on a Friday night and guess where I am?” asked Ramona in a video shared by @tasteof_reality on Instagram. “New Jersey.”
She then wrote in a caption: “Have you ever gone out of your element? Well guess where I am now? Not Hamptons not Aspen not St Barts not nyc not Capri … I am in NJ.”
“It’s not the place but the people you are with,” she wrote, adding that she was “having the best time.”
Melissa then clapped back in the comments, defending her home state.
“Ummm I think NJ is fantastic,” she said, via @commentsbybravo on Instagram.
RHONJ star Margaret Josephs also poked fun at Ramona, asking her: “Did you get all your shots before entering?”
Other fans also shared their thoughts on Ramona’s post.
“Ramona cosplaying that New Jersey is a third world country is sooooo Ramona,” wrote @tasteof_reality.
“Remember when she lowered herself to go to Brooklyn or complained when she had to go to the Bronx,” said another.
“Her feet take permanent residence in her mouth,” wrote another user.
“NJ is *fantastic* 🤌🏽 the best place to spend the summer with the best bagels, pizza, beaches,” said a different fan. “I’m not surprised Ramona isn’t informed though…you need good taste for that.”
