Matt Rempe continues to stay in the news throughout the offseason.
We’ve already seen the New York Rangers enforcer train with former NHL heavyweight Georges Laraque and now he’s ready for his next challenge.

Rempe confirmed his plan to work with Chris Kreider.
“I’m going to stay right here and train with Kreids the rest of the summer,” Rempe said on Thursday.
From the moment the Rangers were eliminated in the Eastern Conference Final, Rempe has made clear that he is looking to be more than just an enforcer this upcoming season as he wants to expand his role.
The 21-year-old is determined to work on all aspects of his game for the remainder of the summer to ensure he carves out a larger role with the Rangers.
“I want to go in there, earn a role, go in there, take strides from last year and go into camp, work my bag off every day and show them I can be an effective player and show that I’ve taken big steps from last season,” Rempe said via The New York Post’s Larry Brooks. “I’ve got to earn it, I have to earn everything. I’m excited to do that.”
Through the beginning of his career, Kreider was considered to be more of a tough and physical player with high offensive upside. Over the past couple of years though, Kreider has transformed into an elite goalscorer as he’s actually recorded his best statistical seasons past the age of 30.
While Rempe likely won’t reach Kreider’s offensive peak, it is important for him to improve on that aspect of his game and there is no better player to train him than Kreider.
