Logan Kim – Dead City season 2

The second season of The Walking Dead: Dead City recently wrapped filming, which was moved from New Jersey to Massachusetts for the upcoming season. The series will be featured in a panel at the 2024 San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC), where fans hope to get a sneak peek at season 2.

Kim portrays the older version of Hershel Rhee, son of Maggie (Lauren Cohen) and Glenn (Steven Yeun), who was born after his father was brutally murdered by Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan). Dead City is set some years after the main series’ final episode, which aired in 2022, and is the first direct spinoff of The Walking Dead. The story significantly expands TWDU by leaving the main series’s wooded setting and is set on the post-apocalyptic island of Manhattan.

In season 1, Hershel was kidnapped by The Croat (Željko Ivanek), a former member of Negan’s saviors who now reigns terror over parts of Manhattan. He abducted Hershel and makes a deal with Maggie to trade her son for Negan. As the season concluded, Hershel was released and was at odds with his mother because of her obsession with exacting revenge on Negan.

The actor teased, in an interview with Screen Rant, that his character will experience a darker story.

“Oh, yes. I’m going to be filming that very soon, and I will say Hershel has a lot more to do now that he’s not kidnapped. And it’s very exciting, and I can’t wait to play such a dark character.”
