Joe Burrow ; aka Joey B, Joe Shiesty, Joe Cool, and Joe Brrr is now back with a look that he rocked back in the day. The quarterback for the Cincinnati Bengals is just returning from his wrist injury and he has decided to make things interesting with a fresh new look.
Joe Burrow is going the Slim Shady way as he has decided to rock a buzz cut and dye his hair to the shade of blonde. A rather unexpected decision from the quarterback but it is not a first for him. With this fresh bleach-blonde look, Burrow has an eerie resemblance to WWE icon Cody Rhodes. Well, the only question that remains on the minds of Bengals fans is, will blonde Burrow be the one to lead them to a Super Bowl victory?
A confident Joe Burrow has gained some size after spending the latter part of the 2023-24 season sitting on the sidelines.
We’re bigger. Definitely bigger. We’ll see where I’m at the end of the offseason. I feel good about where my body is right now….I’m eating more, I’m more dialed as far as nutrition and food schedule and eating when I need to so that’s been a big area of emphasis for me and I’ve seen the results. Joe Burrow stated via the team’s official site.
Joe Burrow sported the bleach-blonde look back in his high school days
The new-look Joey B is reminiscent of the young man who played at the Athens High School in Southeast Ohio. Of course, at that point, Burrow proudly flaunted blonde spikes rather than a plain buzz cut. In all fairness, the bleach-blonde buzzcut look suits the quarterback more than his earlier choice in his high school days.
The new hairstyle signifies a fresh start for Burrow, who has had a rough time in staying healthy. The right wrist injury that he sustained in Week 11 of the 2023-24 season against the Baltimore Ravens put an effective end to the playoff aspirations of the Bengals. The quarterback attempted to get back in the game but after he struggled to grip the football, it was evident that his season was done.
Now that Burrow has returned, he is looking for vengeance. After all, had he not been injured last season, the Cincinnati Bengals would have made the playoffs. This year, he faces the uphill task of leading this squad to a Super Bowl.

Playing in the AFC North, Burrow will need to best the likes of the Cleveland Browns and the Baltimore Ravens, which will not be an easy task. On the positive side, Burrow returns to an offense featuring Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins, both of his trusted weapons. While the path to return to the Super Bowl will be challenging, it would be foolish to count Joe Burrow out of contention.
