With expectations around the Arizona Cardinals growing heading into training camp, Paris Johnson Jr. has a simple approach to the offense finding success.

Johnson, an offensive tackle charged with protecting Kyler Murray, plans to give the quarterback enough time to throw it up to Marvin Harrison Jr. and merely let the star receiver make plays.

“Don’t worry about whoever’s over here, just do your thing, that’s why you’re here,” Johnson said, via NFL.com. “And just throw it to Marvin and we’ll be good. You know what I mean? That’s what I’m excited about and I think all that starts because of what we do on the line.”

Johnson has witnessed firsthand what Harrison is capable of after the two played together for two seasons with the Buckeyes. It was at Ohio State where Johnson developed his understanding of what it takes to succeed at left tackle. He plans to make the same game-changing plays.

As it turns out, Johnson is also a big advocate for Harrison getting the ball and having room to run.

“I played with a lot of great guys in college,” Johnson said, “I’m glad we have one of those guys here to throw the ball to.”
