Walking Dead Spinoffs, Interview with the Vampire & More AMC Shows Heading to Netflix

A total of 15 AMC shows will officially be heading to Netflix soon, after AMC Networks signed a new deal with the mega-streamer. One of the selected shows includes all eight seasons of Fear the Walking Dead.

Per Deadline, AMC Networks has partnered with Netflix to put prior seasons of 13 shows on the streamer starting next month. Besides Fear the Walking Dead, the first seasons of Daryl Dixon, Interview With the Vampire, Mayfair Witches, Monsieur Spade, The Terror, and The Dirty BlackBag will be available for US streaming on Aug. 19 on Netflix, along with A Discovery of Witches Seasons 1-3, Dark Winds Seasons 1-2, Gangs of London Seasons 1-2, Into the Badlands Seasons 1-3, Kevin can F*** Himself Seasons 1-2, and Preacher Seasons 1-4. As part of the deal, The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 1 and The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live Season 1 are also scheduled to stream on Netflix on Jan. 13, 2025.

“This agreement puts our high-quality shows in front of the vast audience of Netflix subscribers with the AMC brand clearly represented,” AMC Networks executive Kristin Dolan said in a statement. “These curated titles are also being strategically windowed to drive interest in current and upcoming seasons on our direct-to-consumer and partner platforms. We believe this significant expansion of our Netflix relationship will drive viewership and engagement on Netflix, while also raising awareness and interest in our award-winning content on AMC-branded and partner platforms across our distribution ecosystem.”

What’s Next for AMC’s Immortal Universe and Walking Dead Franchise?

This deal comes after Interview With the Vampire had just concluded its 8-episode second season last June 30. The supernatural drama is slated to come back for a third season, which will be based on Anne Rice’s 1985 novel The Vampire Lestat. According to showrunner Rolin Jones, Sam Reid’s Lestat de Lioncourt will become a rock star in Season 3. Besides Interview With the Vampire, AMC’s Alexandra Daddario-led Mayfair Witches is also expected to return with its second season sometime in 2025. As AMC continues to expand its Immortal Universe, executive producer Mark Johnson previously addressed the possibility of doing a crossover between Interview With the Vampire and Mayfair Witches, confirming that they currently have no plans for it since both shows “aren’t directly connected.”

As for AMC’s The Walking Dead franchise, there are two spinoffs set to return for its respective second installments. Daryl Dixon Season 2 is scheduled to debut this coming Sept. 29, while Dead City Season 2 has just started its production. Even though AMC hasn’t made any announcements regarding its early renewal, Norman Reedus recently teased that they’re about to start filming its potential fourth season in Spain. “We’re about to start seasons 3 and possibly 4 in Spain,” he said. “I think I’m allowed to say that. I don’t know. I just said it. But I think we’re going to Spain, to Madrid, for that.”
