Why Gia Giudice Should Stay out of RHONJ Fights

Thanks to the long-running success of Real Housewives of New Jersey, we have seen many of the Garden State kids grow up in front of our eyes. Fans have watched as Miliania Giudice called her dad a “troll.”

The Manzo kids played the ham game, and Gia Giudice sang Waking Up in the Morning. Gia, now 23 years old has always been outspoken regarding her mother, Teresa Giudice’s position on the show. But as of late, the Rutgers University graduate has been inserting herself into the adult table conversation. And it is rubbing viewers the wrong way.

Frankly, the Gen Z TV star should just leave the filming to the adults. Don’t get me wrong, watching Gia when she was a kid was great, but the time has come and gone. Teresa has been doing just fine without her daughter’s two cents for over ten years. The cast is very capable of following their narrative without Gia trying to become a ‘how-to’ guide. The older women are mothers and business owners and have lived a lot more lives than Gia, so it feels uneven when the aspiring lawyer shows up.

I am starting to feel like Teresa uses her daughter as a security blanket in scenes. More often than not, I watch as Gia shuts her mother down during conversations. The eldest daughter interrupts the OG and I have caught Tre looking to her daughter for guidance on what to say. I don’t think I can stomach a literal next generation. I don’t want housewives’ kids as the next housewives.

The thirst is real

Every time I see Gia on the show, she is doing the most to be in the drama. I can’t help but feel that she’s constantly auditioning to be the next Teresa. In my opinion, Gia needs to stop inserting herself into grown people’s business. As a viewer and loyal fan, it feels like she is inserting herself into the drama just for the sake of it, even though she isn’t a housewife. There is no doubt that the eldest Giudice daughter turns it on and off for the cameras. I understand she is legally an adult, so naturally, she is going to stand up for herself, but it’s a lot.

I can see where Bravo is going. The network is trying to introduce Gia slowly since they have given her and some other Bravo children an opportunity show called Making It in Manhattan. But honestly, it’s a series that no one has asked for. And are these silver spoon-fed kids really making it when they have all the connections? The answer is no. I don’t want to feel like Bravo is forcing Gia or the others upon me. I am already so close to being over her mother that I don’t need more fuel to go to the fire.

The cast has opinions about Gia Giudice

On the most recent episode of the Real Housewives of New Jersey, I found myself getting aggravated when Jennifer Fessler, a 53-year-old woman, explained herself to a child. Like, what in the table-flipping sense is wrong with this picture? It felt like Jen was about to kiss the ring. She is aware that Gia isn’t royalty, right? The conversation about Teresa and the Fuda’s was anything but kid-friendly, so again, I ask why Gia is even there. Doesn’t she have a frat party to attend?

Even Aunt Melissa Gorga thinks Gia’s filming is weird. The Envy owner and estranged aunt of Gia noted, “She’s a child; why are you talking to a child about adult conversations? It’s so f*cking weird that a child is even — that’s so f*cking weird.” Personally, the way Gia snapped at Melissa in Season 12 would have been enough for me. At the time, I couldn’t tell if that was just her tone/demeanor or if she genuinely was raised to be disrespectful, but the way Gia looked at Melissa with her eyes would have been enough for me to never speak to my niece again.

So please, Bravo, do your fans a favor and pull back on the Gia-heavy scenes. We don’t tune in for her two cents.
