The Real Housewives franchise is celebrating its 100th season, so naturally, we here at Reality Tea got to talking, recalling our favorite moments thus far.
From quotable lines and hysterical quips, to dramatic plot twists that we never sometimes saw coming (‘sup, leakers), this franchise has it all. As Real Housewives of Orange County Season 18 premieres, this OG cast’s season will fittingly usher in this monumental occasion. To celebrate, we will start counting down the best Real Housewives moments ever, beginning with the numbers 100-91.
100. Camille Grammer showcases her Vegas dance moves (RHOBH)
Back in the 90s, Camille Grammer danced her way into our hearts on Club MTV. Luckily, Camille brought the entire club all the way back into our lives in 2010, via the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. During a cast trip to Vegas, the music picked up, and Camille dropped down, getting her eagle on. Keep popping off Camille, you little moment-making icon you.
99. Kelly Bensimon’s running “in the traffic trenches” (RHONY)
Kelly Bensimon had some interesting moments on Real Housewives of New York. One of our favorites though is when she ran right out into traffic, directly in front of a taxi driver, for exercise. “I’m with everybody. I’m with the bikers and the taxis. It’s like the ultimate experience of being in New York, is like, running in traffic. It’s like you’re in the traffic trenches.”
Meanwhile, my anxiety crept in, knowing full-well that New Yorkers will run your ass over if need be. Thankfully though, Kelly lived.
98. Robyn Dixon’s pizza delivery gig (RHOP)
On Real Housewives of Potomac Season 3, Ashley Darby, Gizelle Bryant, and Robyn Dixon had a mystery to solve. Does Karen Huger even live in her mansion? To answer this, these three put on some of the wildest wigs ever, but only Robyn had the lady-balls to walk their pizza all the way up to Karen’s front door. Sadly, Karen didn’t answer, but this comedic moment is still referenced back to often by the Grande Dame herself.
96. Tribeca’s “up and coming,” Jessel Taank claims (RHONY)
Season 14 of RHONY introduced us to Jessel Taank. While dining out with Erin Lichy, a whole-ass real estate agent, Jessel noted how Tribeca is so “up and coming,” that a few of her friends are looking at moving there. Cue Erin, explaining that “it’s not … it’s there.”
Jessel stood firm though, saying it “has potential,” as Erin remained shocked, reminding her costar that “it’s the most expensive zip code” around. As a former New Yorker, this wild statement of Jessel’s still lives rent free in my brain.
95. The filling of Vicki Gunvalson’s love tank (RHOC)
When we first met Vicki Gunvalson on RHOC, Don Gunvalson wasn’t filling her “love tank,” so she filed for divorce. After this, Brooks Ayers re-filled her tank, while draining everyone else’s in turn. This relationship ended, but Steve Lodge’s gas nozzle emerged next (ew, sorry), filling her “love tank” once again. This also died, but never fear, as Michael Smith has since entered the chat, so hopefully, Vicki’s currently still sitting on full.
94. Erika Jayne’s snow-assisted story about Tom being burgled and getting into a car accident (RHOBH)
After Erika Jayne sent her police officer son to check on her now-estranged husband Tom Girardi, she recalled this night to her RHOBH costars. Her remarks then went viral.
“Tom’s house was broken into, and he confronted the burglar. And then had to go have eye surgery. And then my son had to go over and help, and then my son, he rolled his car five times on the way home,” Erika explained, as Etsy shops everywhere began cranking her words out on their merch.
93. NeNe Leakes’ date goes left, but she “still need[s] to get this watch!” (RHOA)
When NeNe Leakes went on a date on Real Housewives of Atlanta, her beau gifted her a Rolex. “It’s getting weird,” she quipped in her confessional. “But I still need to get this watch,” she joked, taking us all out in the process. “Bling, bling, bling, bitches is mad!” What’s one bad date if you get a Rolex in return?
92. That’s Tamra Judges “opinion!” (RHOC)
Tamra Judge and Vicki went head-to-head during the RHOC Season 9 reunion. Here, Tamra tried to tell Vicki that Brooks sucked. Vicki disagreed, asking her costar how she could know what’s good for her. “That’s my opinion!” Tamra yelled back, as another viral meme launched. This is undoubtedly one of the best Real Housewives moments of all time.
91. Dorinda Medley’s Halloween callout against Ramona Singer (RHONY)
Rounding out our first list, we return to RHONY, and Dorinda Medley calling out Ramona Singer. “She’s been here an hour-and-a-half boozing it up,” Dorinda said, calling her “mean.” She accused the Stinger of trying to tear “happiness” away from others. All this, because Ramona dared to ask Dorinda if she was “drunk.” A messy moment, but one that will go down in Real Housewives history.
Stay tuned for tomorrow’s drop, which will list moments 90-81. After that, two lists will continue to drop each week, one on Saturday, and one on Sunday, until we reach our number 1 best Real Housewives moment to-date!
