It’s no secret that former Tennessee Vols running back Alvin Kamara is a big NASCAR fan.
Kamara, who is entering his eighth season with the New Orleans Saints, became interested in NASCAR during the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2021, he was named NASCAR’s first ever Growth and Engagement Advisor.
Earlier this week, Kamara joined Kevin Harvick’s Happy Hour and he was asked about his favorite NASCAR drivers.
The former Vol listed Bubba Wallace, Joey Logano, and Denny Hamlin as three of his favorite drivers.
“So, obviously Bubba (Wallace),” said Kamara. “Denny (Hamlin), cool guy. You know, he’s fiery. When I first came in, I wasn’t really paying as much attention to the racing as I was the personalities.”
“I was big on Joey (Logano), because Joey, I feel like, he was just, he didn’t care,” added Kamara. “He was just fighting, ‘I don’t care what car is by me, who’s in front of me, I don’t care what you’re trying to do, I’m going to win, and that’s it.’ So, I’ve always got a little love for Joey.”

I’m sure we’ll be seeing plenty more of Kamara at NASCAR events in the not-so-distant future.
