After 14 successful seasons as a full-time cast member, and let’s be real – the biggest Bravolebrity in Atlanta and arguably the entire franchise, Burruss shocked the Housewives world by announcing her departure ahead of the production for Season 16.
Get this, the decision stemmed from production delays that interfered with her other commitments.
“I wouldn’t have even been able to do this tour if I was still filming because obviously, they’re filming right now. Last season they were always complaining because I was always gone doing something else,” Burruss explained to the co-hosts of The Morning Hustle. “There are a lot of things that I wanted to do that I am trying to make happen right now. So, I figured it was the best time to go and do my own thing.”
So when she was recently asked if her exit was temporary or more permanent, Burruss clarified:
“I don’t really have intentions on going back. So, I don’t want to leave people hanging like, ‘I’m gonna be back next year,’ because right now, I’m focused on what I’m doing.”
And no lies spoke because Burruss is busy, busy.
When she is not producing Broadway shows, which include the revival of The Wiz, her acting career is on the rise. ICYMI, Burruss has a recurring role in the Showtime drama The Chi and will appear in Season 2 of Hulu’s Reasonable Doubt, as well as ALLBLK’s A La Carte. Slay!
And I don’t think she is still relevant in music. Burruss is touring with her group Xscape and SWV. And let’s not forget that she also manages several businesses across various industries, including food and beverage, clothing, cosmetics, and adult toys, while continuing to expand her entertainment empire. So, when it comes to taking a break from RHOA, we get it.
