Jordan first entered the NBA as the Bulls’ third overall pick in the 1984 Draft. Since then, His Airness spent 13 seasons playing in the Windy City and averaged 31.5 points on 50 percent shooting from the field, 6.3 rebounds, 5.4 assists, and 2.5 steals per game.

He would also go on a pair of three-peats with Phil Jackson as his coach, resulting in six rings by the end of his stint in Chicago. Apart from those championships, Jordan won five MVPs, six Finals MVPs, 10 scoring titles, and a Defensive Player of the Year award in 1988.

For his part, LeBron James is no slouch when it comes to the GOAT debate. the NBA’s all-time leading scorer has won two rings with the Miami Heat, one with the Cleveland Cavaliers, and another one with the Lakers. He was also named Rookie of the Year in 2004, named to 19 All-NBA teams, and led the league in assists during the 2019-20 season.

Former Charlotte Hornets Star Devonte Graham Hilariously Settles GOAT Debate Between LeBron James and Michael Jordan

While fans have taken sides on who they think is the NBA’s real GOAT, Devonte Graham has taken a stand that will surely solicit some laughter. In an article written Michael Scotto for Hoops Hype:

“I played for the GOAT, Michael Jordan,” Spurs guard Devonte Graham told HoopsHype. “He paid me. When I played there, he was definitely the GOAT. Once I got traded, it became LeBron,” Scotto wrote.

Graham spent the first three years of his career playing for a Hornets team owned by Jordan. After his time in Buzz City, the point guard the played for the New Orleans Pelicans and San Antonio Spurs.

While Graham’s take on the GOAT debate leans more on the hilarious side, the argument itself is a very close one. Only time can tell whether James or Jordan will end up being named the greatest player in the NBA. When that debate is done, the one left standing will surely have a stronger case to be named the GOAT of the league.
